#Polish Parliament members wear #Anonymous masks to protest #ACTA in chambers

Poland on Thursday signed an international copyright agreement, sparking more demonstrations by Internet users who have protested for days over fear it will lead to online censorship.

After the signing, protesters rallied in the Polish cities of Poznan and Lublin to express their anger over the treaty. Lawmakers for the left-wing Palikot's Movement wore masks in parliament to show their dissatisfaction, while the largest opposition party — the right-wing Law and Justice party — called for a referendum on the matter.

Lawmakers from the leftist Palikot's Movement cover their faces with masks as they protest against ACTA during a parliament session.

  14. It might be a good idea to dig into Hollywood's so called "Hollywood Accounting" -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollywood_accounting

They keep blaming piracy and the free internet for losing money, when in fact they're the ones who don't report the money they earn properly, and in effect, they pay less to the real people who worked hard on the products.

This is a serious issue that Hollywood needs to face because they are the ones who are cheating on the performers and their employees.

For the longest time, I've been fighting the same cause that you guys do. But back then (and just recently), I felt that only few of my kind did. A minority if you may. And you know how hard it is to be in this tiny sect of society. The very few, yet POWERFUL rich bastards just laugh at our grievances through the articles that we write to the simple shout outs on non-sense social medias. And then I found you guys . . . I said to myself "finally, someone who can fight fire with fire". You guys gave me hope. I'm hoping that I can do my part in terms of spreading The ANONYMITY in my own way. THANK YOU for standing up against these controlling bastards.

Looking forward for some more action in the future! :)

  59. No doubt this is a great job already done: even Polish PM says now that ACTA will probably never be discussed in the Parliament. MEP responsible for ACTA resigned on the grounds he doesn't want to be a part of this farce anymore. Now only a few politicians with slow reactions and out of touch keep saying ACTA is all right. It will be thrown out of the window. I'm sure of it. People said clear and laud: enough is enough. Congratulations to all involved! Keep up the pressure!

    2. That's exactly the case: he realized, he has no "Go!" from people, so he must review his stance, and this is what its all about, isn't it? They've been given an unexpected slap, made them all afraid, because for too long they've been convinced that nobody notice. Now they must think again, also about themselves, which is quite natural: in order to keep their jobs they must change their attitude towards people they are hired to serve. I have no illusions, politicians are mainly just a bunch of selfish people with overgrown ego, playing their game in the spotlight, but knowing that I'm sure they realized it's gone too far. Just look what happened in the US Congress with SOPA. It's going to be the same in Poland and other European countries in ACTA case. Believe me. Just keep rolling that snowball!

We all have to gather somehow and strike in one time so we could break through the wall which government is trying to surround us with... Actually I did not lose faith because I can see how Poland is taking over the control and I think other countries will do the same thing...

      Delete
    3. Just express your disagreement and you'll realize how many of us is out there. I've got close links to Poland and I assure you: freedom is Poles soft spot. They've been denied it for long time and never stopped fighting for it. I'm not surprised this thing happened in that country: after all, many basic human rights, i.e. law saying you cannot be jailed without independent court sentence, comes from Poland. So if someone's trying to mess up with freedom, they're first to defend it. Let's see if other European countries will follow, I hear that, in Czech Republic similar things has been done last night. Someone from Slovakia is saying here, they gathering too... Sounds great doesn't it? I'm sure in your country, if it is involved, people are going to do something about it. Anyway, I hope politicians met with resistance so strong, they can't just ignore it. Polish lads right here has given you links to see what's happening there, you can see it on youtube as well. Enjoy!

ACTA, SOPA, PIPA, and Gang Stalking sponsors, the time has come for you and and your new world order cohorts to know that there's just really nothing you can do about the free will of the majority. You may think that you own the world with all your stolen power and dirty blood money, but at the end of the day you still feel that something really important is still missing. At the end of the day you feel defeated deep inside. It's a nagging and lingering feeling of loss, failure, and wasted time money and energy that will haunt you for the rest of your lives. To realize that the majority of the people of the world cannot be conned controlled or manipulated, because they were on to your bullshit from the get go. How does it feel to make asses of yourselves for even trying in the first place. A psychopathic delusion that was never meant to be. 103. Greetings from South Africa. While our government is not involved in ACTA, they have passed their own secrecy of information bill which allows them to hide embarrassing information about themselves (they do a lot of stupid shit like marry 7 women or buy fancy stuff that's waaay out of their budget) and prevent the media from publishing it. Thought I'd raise some awareness

  105. I wish the Canadian Government had the balls to do this... But instead, we get our own version of ACTA: Bill C-11. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright_Act_of_Canada#Bill_C-11) I wish there were more of us to fight this- but the population of Canada could fit inside California. I'll probably have my internet shut off fairly shortly after the bill is passed, or be arrested. Well that's just dandy now, isn't it? Might be moving to Poland some time soon...

This whole party is a politycal scam.
He wanted also to castrate homosexuals untill he found out it doens't give him much more votes and then decided he want homosexuals to support his party and made such people join in.

However the ruling party + the above party which you say is supporting antiACTA movement actually wants to vote against.

Seriously, the above post is a disgrace.

    1. Members of European Parliament of "the true opposition party" you speak of all voted in favor of ACTA. If its not enough for you, this party in autumn 2010 declared they going create their own task force to monitor Internet in order to find people "abusing" them and "memory and testimony" of their little fuhrer's dead brother. When they've been in power briefly they abused justice system arresting people "just in case" or mounting cases against them. And now they become defenders of freedom? Don't be silly. And don't bring your politics here, fellow. It stinks. If you're deluded, better not to show it, right?

  131. I don't know where I should put this comment to reach the core group, so I will post this everywhere.

To ANONYMOUS, Your immediate attention and action is required. You are the voice of truth, freedom and justice, and you speak for all of us.

That message gets confused and diluted with duplicate videos and incorrect information. Please streamline your communications and be the voice of clarity and reason. Then more will follow.

You have become the voice of people all over the world, and it is your duty to spread this message. In doing so, people will unite from around the globe.

Assign the duties of communications to a few select members, and make these communications, "official communiques". How do I know if a video is really from Anonymous? There is a way, technology is at our disposal. Strengthen your army. I get lost trying to keep up.

Most people like myself, hear about Anonymous actions through videos and news articles, not from your networks or IRC. Proxies, hacking and DNS attacks are foreign ideas to me, but your message is not. It is the reason I live each day and fight to make tomorrow a better one. The biggest challenge you face is not the message you share, but how clearly and effectively it is communicated to others. Be clear and concise and the world will listen. Be clear and consise and the citizens of this world will revolt. Calls to action must reach the masses effectively and in a timely manner.

This requires your immediate attention. The many citizens of the world are with you and others are waiting.

Do not worry. Like me, you and others, we are all anonymous. You make a difference if you want to be. I do not speak on behalf of Anonymous, but I'm anonymous. Each one has to have his own thoughts about things, and insight into right and wrong. And act upon principles, and if it is good for you, and also for others, you should do. And ask others around you because they think different and to respect that. You should also always question if what you are doing is right or wrong. I do not believe to be for everyone, but for many. And this is what is the difference. Do not impose your idea, but allow others to have access to it, and have their opinion about the idea, and each acts perente its principles. And every one shows his idea. Anonymously we are many, and we are nobody.

European people should DEMAND that, when Europe should chose to agree with ACTA, yes- and no-voters are made public. If I am right we as Europeans are ENTITLED to know who votes what as this is still a democracy (or at least, that's what they want us to believe).

    1. PIPA and SOPA was just the distraction from the REAL threat called ACTA. Which is WORSE that just "pirated" websites being shut down, but local, small family owned businesses get shut down by ANY large corporate bully, by simply sending people to prison, for "counterfeit" product. You can't trust the system anymore, it works for banksters and corporate elites.

  141. these copyright laws are BS anyway. they are already life of creator and a bit more and the corporations want longer and longer life of it.

imo copyrights/patents stifle progress of technology. sheesh you should be able to make some profit with it but come on obtaining profit from it forever even though

ideas can be thought up on a whim regardless.

its not that you were the only one having that idea its just that you were the one to get the government recognize you have the idea.

the whole idea of copyrights forever by the corporations is bad.

Tell the copyright holders to stuff it. 90% of them are the publishers rather than the creators anyway.

creators have the right to complain NOT these publishers imo.

ps creators usually use other people work as well in their stuff like in programing.

ahem when do you actually use completely new code... you dont 90% of the time its copy and paste or small adjustments.

    But this is pretty cool
