@WikiLeaks Publishes Global Intelligence Files: Over 5 Million Emails

WikiLeaks began publishing The Global Intelligence Files – more than five million emails from the Texas-headquartered “global intelligence” company Stratfor, a global security think tank, via the international Internet hacktivist collective Anonymous.

They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal’s Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defense Intelligence Agency. The emails show Stratfor’s web of informers, pay-off structure, payment-laundering techniques and psychological methods, for example:

“[Y]ou have to take control of him. Control means financial, sexual or psychological control… This is intended to start our conversation on your next phase” – CEO George Friedman to Stratfor analyst Reva Bhalla on 6 December 2011, on how to exploit an Israeli intelligence informant providing information on the medical condition of the President of Venezuala, Hugo Chavez.

The material contains privileged information about the US government’s attacks against Julian Assange and WikiLeaks and Stratfor’s own attempts to subvert WikiLeaks. There are more than 4,000 emails mentioning WikiLeaks or Julian Assange. The emails also expose the revolving door that operates in private intelligence companies in the United States. Government and diplomatic sources from around the world give Stratfor advance knowledge of global politics and events in exchange for money. The Global Intelligence Files exposes how Stratfor has recruited a global network of informants who are paid via Swiss banks accounts and pre-paid credit cards. Stratfor has a mix of covert and overt informants, which includes government employees, embassy staff and journalists around the world.

#Anonymous hacks US prison contractor's website

Anonymous hacked the website of a major US prison contractor in the latest salvo in an anti-police campaign.

Anonymous replace The Geo Group website home page with a rap song dedicated in part to convicted murderer Mumia Abu-Jamal and a message condemning prisons and policing in the United States.

"We are acting in solidarity with all those who have ever been wrongfully profiled, arrested, brutalized, incarcerated, and have had all dignity and humanity stripped from them as they are cast into the gulags of America."

The Geo Group manages prisons, mental health facilities, or detention centers in Australia, Britain, South Africa, and North America. The corporation reported $77.5 million in net profit on $1.6 billion in revenue last year.

Anonymous have gotten the addresses of more than 1,000 officers along with information from police warrants and court summonses as well as about informants in their weeks-long series of attacks on police computers.

Anonymous law enforcement targets in recent weeks have included the websites of the Central Intelligence Agency and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

#FFF #Anonymous hits Ohio #FBI partner website

Anonymous delivered another blow on the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) by taking down the Web site of the Dayton Ohio Chapter of InfraGard Friday.

The Ohio site was replaced with the video for Coolio's 1995 rap hit and a profane message attacking Infragard as a "sinister alliance" between corporations and law enforcement.

Anonymous has promised weekly hacks as the amorphous group continues its campaign against law enforcement worldwide.

#Anonymous Attacks Greek Ministry of Justice Website

Following the arrest of three young Anonymous hackers in Greece, the collective has attacked again the website of the Ministry of Justice, defacing its homepage.
"The Republic in Greece has died. He died while a government that has not been elected by the people. And for this reason that the time for discussion came and went. Not negotiating anything with any of those who murdered it. You can hunt as you like, you can even capture some of us, in your attempt to silence us. But for every one that will capture 3 others will spring up. There are 5 or 10 or 100."

Massive information dump by #Anonymous on hundreds of cops, including a ‘pedo cop’

Anonymous has been extremely active over the last few weeks; for one, disclosing the inept state of Alabama’s privacy of 40,000 of its residents, after hacking into their site in just minutes. In addition to a mountain of website’s defaced and hacked, the group has surpassed themselves. Again. Imagine what you would expect to find after hacking into the databases of the Los Angeles Police Canine Association‘s website — certainly not disturbing images from an ‘alleged’ pedo cop of unclothed children with adults – the police officer in question, Jesse Flores, should have ‘EXPECTED US.’

#NSA Declares #Anonymous a Threat to National Security

Anonymous attracted the attention of the National Security Agency. In private meetings at the White House, NSA director General Keith Alexander warned that in a year or two the group could attack the energy grid and shut off power for millions.

Ridiculous! Why should Anonymous shut off power grid? Makes no sense!
They just want to make you feel afraid.
